  • For almost 200 years, Princeville Presbyterian Church has, and continues to be, completely devoted to the Word of God in faith and practice.
  • The church was part of the PCUSA (Presbyterian Church United States of America) from 1834-2012 (178 years).
  • The church was part of the EPC (Evangelical Presbyterian Church) from March 2012 - January 2025 (12 years).
  • In January 2025, the church joined the Federation of Reformed Churches (FORC).

Other Historical Facts:

  • Princeville Presbyterian Church held its first service in 1834 and was the first Presbyterian Church in Peoria County.
  • The church bell—rung every Sunday, and heard throughout Princeville—was added in 1867.
  • The church building was expanded in 1986 and the sanctuary was renovated in 1991.
  • In 1993 we added a new steeple, visible throughout Princeville.
  • March 2012 - the church changed its name from First Presbyterian Church to Princeville Presbyterian Church.
  • In January 2024, the church chartered a Trail Life troop, IL-2717 as a ministry for boys and fathers.
